Professional Summary
Nigel established his first law firm in 1997 and has been practicing law for 25 years. He has appeared before all levels of Court throughout Alberta, and is familiar with all forums of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is committed to maximizing client recovery, minimizing client exposure and realizing optimal outcomes. Nigel proudly considers himself first and foremost an advocate, and this has been his passion and a consistent theme throughout his professional career. He is also a skilled negotiator, with practical knowledge of how to best meet his clients' needs, and the most appropriate forum in which to do so.
Nigel has published several highly-regarded articles for presentation as a Faculty Member with the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA). He was also Trial Counsel on several significant reported Alberta decisions on issues including property division, enforceability of domestic agreements, child support and co-parent mobility.
In addition to his law practice, Nigel also provides services as a Parenting Coordinator, with the aim of helping families resolve their co-parenting disputes in an amicable, cost-effective and creative fashion.

He also provides weekly seminars on the topic of “Separation and Divorce”, through Calgary Legal Guidance. In October 2015, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by Calgary Legal Guidance.
